Itay Paz | Integrating Facebook into your businessFacebook has been known to be a social networking but as the years go on, it has grown to be more than just a social networking site.  Slowly, it has been serving as a venue for different marketers and advertisers endorsing their goods and services.  With millions of people joining Facebook every day and with the same number of people logging on the website each minute, it has been the target of many online businesses wanting to get through the network of potential customers and visitors of their own web page.
If your business is not yet on Facebook, you are missing a lot of opportunities especially in making a compelling presence and establishing image and reputation of your business.  Here are some tips on how to integrate your business with Facebook.

Create your Facebook profile – In making a profile of your business, you must ensure that you complete and provide useful and quality information for friends and fans of your Facebook page.  No one expects you to get thousands of fans or friends on your first day let alone a dull and boring profile.  Get it right the first time.

Allocate time – One positive thing about being in Facebook is that you do not have to devote so much of your time just to fuel your growth as a business.  However make sure that you do allocate time to build your own network by updating your page from time to time.  A good and quality wall post will spread instantly like a virus through your friend’s or fan’s sharing of your wall post.
Share relevant and fresh information in instalments – Get your reader and fan’s interests with your content and make them want for more by giving small bits of information.  If you write something in one-sitting then you might not have any more interesting stories to share with them.  Plan and schedule your stories or content so that you will have enough to offer to them.

Call to action – Another important strategy that you must take note of is to highlight a bold and big call to action.  This is a sure fire way of attracting people to visit your page and to take time to know more about your business.

Get personal – Treat each fan or visitor like your friend.  Send a message of appreciation for liking your page and respond to the comments they put on your wall.  Try to listen to their feedbacks, suggestions and recommendations which will help you address issues or concerns and strengthen the areas you need to improve.  Let them know that you are lending an ear and that you are doing something about it.

Offer some discounts and gifts – Gifts and promotional offers have been a traditional strategy but has already proven to be valuable in drawing attention and building relationships with your fans and prospect customers.  It does not have to be something grand because people already appreciates whatever discounts or useful gifts that you can offer to them.
It doesn’t take a scientist or an expert to land your business page in Facebook.  These basic tips will help you get along with integrating your online business with this platform.
